Finding and choosing a good, reliable builder is no easy task, but we definitely struck lucky when we met Wayne and Gina. We had met lots of other builders but many were not reliable or failed to send their quotes on time - if at all!

We have been very impressed with them at every stage of our project. At our initial meeting, they arrived on time and were very helpful and understanding of our needs. They prepared a Devis as requested and were flexible when changes were required. Wayne has worked very hard on stripping back the old roofs on the house and a barn to replace with new insulation, battens and slates plus new guttering, Velux windows, down pipes and ridge tiles. He worked in all weather conditions - from the baking heat of summer through to the rain in autumn, without complaining. He always turned up when he said he would and was very good at staying in touch throughout the project. During the work he always made sure the roof was watertight overnight or until he returned on site.

Wayne is a great person to have around a building site and we have got along very well - this was important as we were living on site throughout all the renovation work. We are very pleased with the quality of his work, reliability and because he is trustworthy and we hope to continue to use Wayne for future renovation projects and are happy to recommend him to others.

Just a quick word to say thanks for all your work over the last year. As you know we had several offers to renovate our lovely seaside home but were taken with your dedication and honesty to do a good job. Despite having to travel some distance you worked very hard and came up with innovative ideas when, as is the norm with complex renovations, things didn't go according to plan. The standard of workmanship has been good and you remained professional in your communication throughout. I would recommend you to other people needing help with renovating old properties.

Building Testimony

Penine Design & Renovation,

We live in Britain and have a second home in Brittany (22), France.
When we bought the house four years ago, it required a substantial amount of building and maintenance work.

We gathered many quotes from building firms in France, but unfortunately many were too over priced. However, we found that Mr Akroyd gave us the most reasonable quote within our budget.

We could go back to Britain knowing that the work would be completed in the time specified and within budget. Mr Akroyd worked consistently and he made contact with us if minor alterations were needed to the original plan.

We have recently had plans made for a new project that we will be ready for in the summer.

We are very pleased with the work Mr Akroyd has completed and are now able to rent our property for holiday lets.
